Interview about 9-11

On September 11 four areoplanes were hijacked and crashed into buildings. Two however, were in New York City and crashed into the Twin Towers. The other two crashed in nearby cities. One of the areoplanes in New York City crashed twenty minutes after the first one did. All of the areoplanes were hijacked in the AM. Chaos was roaming through the city. After all of it was said and done one of the Towers started collapsing. Then the other did to.

One thing I didn't know was that there was four areoplanes hijacked on 9-11. I didn't know what time it happened.

My name is Mitch, and if i could eat something I would eat some edible food.

SORRY

I thought that it was going to be hard at first, but then I realized that I knew a lot more people than I thought I would. I have friends down here that are smart so they are helping me get caught up, and they are willing to help when help is needed. I'm taking a Interactive Media Class because they didn't have the same thing you taught. The Spanish teacher said that she has had students from Oskaloosa before and that their Spanish II was harder than Oskies. So now I'm in Consumer Math; it deals with taxes, budgets, and basically deals with life outside of school. They don't have Biology II, so I'm in General Science. The rest are basically the same. In some ways I miss Oskie, but in some ways I don't. Until next time I bid you goodbye.

Old Times

It's a little wierd blogging in Perry. I'm not in Oskaloosa anymore. I wanted to let you no how it's going so far. The schools a lot bigger.

Stoner and Spaz

There is a kid named Ben and he is a spaz. He loves movies. Ben falls kinda in love with a girl named Colleen. They hit it off for a while then things fall apart. They go to a club named Aorta and he gets punched in the face. Then they record movies with a video camera. Some conflicts in the story are Ben vs Grandmother, Ben vs Colleen, and Ben vs School. In the end they go their separate ways. Ben changes internally. The theme of the story is "self confedence".

Social Media

Some kid in New Jersey killed himself last week because of social media. Last week Clementi was recorded on a webcam in his room with another dude. His two roommates were charged with invasion of privacy. This is one out of 12 cases in the United States since 2003 dealing with young adult. If he would have been in bed with a women he still might be alive.

Novel

A kid named Ben is living with his grandma. His mom ran off, and his dad is nowhere to be seen. Ben's a spaz and he meets this stoner girl named Colleen. They become friends. This reminds me of someone I know that lives with their grandparents. The writer had good visuals in the school and the club that they went to. The tone of the book so far is serious. My question, so far in the book, is what is going to happen to them. Are they going to end up together.

Did you know that students are preparing for jobs that don't exist yet? Texting has come along way. It started with phone calls, emails, and brick phones. Jordon said that the first text message was sent in December of 1992. Now we send more texts than the worlds population. This all means that we are in the time of exponential growth. That means everything is multiplying and doing it fast.

Round Table Thing

If you where here Monday you would know that my dog is gone. About a month ago he went missing. All the little dogs I've had somethings happened to, so the next dog I get is going to be big.

The first week of school

The first week of school I had football practice two times a day. I was really sore. We started school on Wednesday, but we started football practice on Monday. This year we have all the guys that won the middle school dvl tournament this year in high school. So I think we will have a pretty good team. This year we face a bunch of bigger schools than we did in middle school. So we are going to see how the year turns out.

Did You Know/Digital Text

I didn't know a lot of the stuff they were talking about in the presentation. I learned a lot of cool stuff to. One of the things that stood out to me was the country of India has more honor kids than America has kids. Another thing that caught my attention was the first commercial text message was sent in December of 1992. I thought that was cool because I was born on December 20, 1992. Finally the last thing is that there are about 540,000 words in the English language.

Canoeing

Last week I missed Friday because I went canoeing. I had a blast. I was out all day in the sun and having a good time. We went on a lot of rope swings and jumped of 20-50 foot cliffs. Then my canoe left me, so I had to ride with a rafting party until I found my canoe again. It was the best time I've had this whole summer.
